It is finals week. The week where you study all night to take tests that decide if you are going to pass a class or not. Lets describe theses tests. The tests often include the hardest most complicated problems that the book manufactures would not even consider putting in a text book. For instance, for the first page of my circuit final, the answer to every problem on the first page was zero. I don't know about you, but wouldn't that strike you as a little odd? The bad part about it is that if you stayed up all night the night before, you would not have seen why that was the correct answer.
anyway, enough about finals. Here is a list of things for you to remember if you do or intend to attend this university:
1. The teachers are not going to give you a grade, the numbers you recieve on your
assignments is waht you are going to get.
2. Never ever take a Hummel class, enough said.
3. The IT department stinks, you can not even talk on your cell phone because it
violates their wireless policy, but then again how are they going to find out?
4. There is no wireless intenet unless you provide yourself with a wireless internet
, which is illegal by the above stated policy
5. Bring your own cleaner. There is not any cleaner to clean your dorm room bathrooms
and the such. (The stench will run you out about halfway through the semester)
(don't ask)
6. Hotplates do hurt mirrors. Do not leave one pluged in near a mirror.
7. Ponding are great......if your birthday is in the summer.
8. Dating on campus is not a good choice. You are here to go to school. If you want
a date, go somewhere else. (if you find that somewhere else, let me know)
9. If you have a dorm room, get a fridge.
10. If you get the fridge, buy cases of rootbeer and monster. Keep the fridge stocked
The rootbeer sales great at $.50 and the Monster sales ok at $1.50. Candy
doesn't generally sale very well.
11. Laptops are great. (remeber to buy a wireless router that has a real good signal)
12. Laptops are not good if you have wireless access in class and can not control
yourself.
13. Bring a good microwaveable mug. (good for ramen, hot chocolate, and taking coffee
to classes)
14. bring a good bowel (good for ramen and many, many other things in a dorm room)
15. Bring walkie talkies (don't ask, just do it (yes, it does violate rules))
16. Refrigerant jug boxes make good trash cans. Good conversational pieces.
17. DVD burners and blank DVDs are nice to have for storing media, but highly
unrecomended if you want to keep out of trouble.
18. If you get a chance, watch anime. If you understand it and get hooked, good. If
not, I am sorry.
19. Bring alot of backed up music on your hard drive. Leave all your cds at home.
They will be "borrowed" otherwise and rarely make it back.
20. Vehicles. They are nice to have, but make sure that you bring an old cluncker to
school. That way if you do not want to drive, they you can say it "won't start".
I have many more to put up, but I have to get started on studying for my calcIII test tomorrow. Later people.
